Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) is a healthcare free economic zone located in Dubai. DHCC was launched in 2002 by the Government of Dubai. DHCC was created in order to meet the need for high quality, patient-oriented healthcare, and the main goal is to make Dubai a preferred tourism destination for medical services and treatments.

DHCC support the growth of healthcare sector by providing a wide range of services in healthcare sector that includes medical education and research, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment and related support. DHCC is a healthcare hub where hospitals, research centers, clinics and medical institutions can be established with full foreign ownership and enjoy other free zone benefits. Today, there are two hospitals, more than 120 outpatient medical centres and diagnostic laboratories with over 4000 licensed professionals operating in DHCC.

Mohammed Bin Rashid Academic Medical Center (MBR-AMC) is the education and research centre of Dubai Healthcare City and was established with the aims to advance the healthcare sector in MENA region through research and innovation.
